Pregnant then Screwed

TFS SAYS:We know that pregnancy is one of the biggest breaking points in equality and we can’t ignore the effects motherhood (and potential motherhood) is .

Pregnant then Screwed tackles the problem from different angles making a massive impact in every single woman they help but also in the problem as a whole.

Who are they:Pregnant Then Screwed is working to end the motherhood penalty, because 54,000 women are pushed out of their jobs due to pregnancy or maternity leave and 77% of working mums have encountered negative treatment at work among other things

They run a free legal advice line, a mentor scheme for women taking legal action against an employer and a flexible working helpline. They lobby the government for legislative change, organise events to help mums find work that works for them, support mums to start a career in politics, and they document the stories of mothers who encounter workplace discrimination.

How can you collaborate:

Volunteer: They rely on fantastic volunteers who dedicate some oftheir time to it, see the roles that they are looking to fill here

Share your story: They also share stories of women who have encountered pregnancy and maternity discrimination in the workplace on their website to raise awareness - if you want to share your story, please contact them.

Donate: They wouldn’t be able to support the many women that come to them for help without the kind donations received. Every appreciated donation helps  ensure that women have the practical and emotional support they need to access justice. You can donate here

BEAT

TFS SAYS: For our F by Amanda Mustard collection that celebrates every body and encourages a healthy positive way to see ourselves, we are delighted to collaborate with BEAT!

Who are theyBeat is the UK's eating disorders charity. Their national Helpline exists to encourage and empower people to get help quickly, because the sooner someone starts treatment, the greater their chance of recovery. People can contact them online or by phone 365 days a year. They listen to them, help them to understand the illness, and support them to take positive steps towards recovery. They also support family and friends, equipping them with essential skills and advice, so they can help their loved ones recover whilst also looking after their own mental health. And they campaign to increase knowledge among healthcare and other relevant professionals, and for better funding for high-quality treatment, so that when people are brave enough to take vital steps towards recovery, the right help is available to them.

Young Women's Trust

TFS SAYS:For the F by Oliviawe are supporting Young Women's Trust. Being only 13 years old we think of her and the ones like her as our future, and we are delighted that associations like this exist to fight for young women’s rights and will be there to support them as they get older and enter the workplace.

Who are they:Young Women's Trust is a feminist organisation working to achieve economic justice for young women (18 to 30).

Young women are the power behind society. Women do the vast majority of unpaid work and their value, potential and skills are so often overlooked. So many of us will have experienced infuriating sexism in the workplace and feel it’s held us back. But for the next generation of young women this age-old discrimination is having a devastating impact, not just on their careers, but on their finances, mental health, and hopes for the future.

Equality is possible. It is within our reach. We need to work together to achieve it.

Plan International UK

TFS SAYS: We love collaborating with them for Our F for Her collection because of the way the focus on childhood, strive for a just world that advances children's rights and equality for girls

Who are they: Girls aren’t weak. They’re braver than you know. Child marriage. Harassment. Sexual violence. They face it all. But as brave as they are, they still need our support. So when a girl wants to turn her back on a future husband, we’ll be there.

When a classroom of girls speak out against sexual harassment in schools, we’ll make sure they’re heard.

When a community fights to protect their girls from FGM, we’ll stand with them.

If laws need to change and governments need to do more for girls—whether in the UK or around the world—we won't give up until the violence stops.
